I like baking, but hardly have the time to do it. When I get cravings for something super delicious, I am thankful to have found a cupcake place I can treat myself to! Wanna Cupcake is located in Puyallup, WA. They have been around for almost 4 years and have a decent following (Facebook fans at 3,575!) and with good reason. Their cupcakes have been a favorite of mine for quite a while now. I believe I found them just by googling (spellcheck tells me this is not a word, but it's in dictionaries now) cupcake places nearby after my favorite bakery had closed. I saw the ratings and the menu choices offered and was ready to try!
Their menu does rotate on a daily basis and varies with seasonal choices. I love how they update their Facebook every day and inform us of the current menu. My personal favorites are Orangesicle (Orange cupcake filled with vanilla buttercream and topped with orange buttercream frosting), Boston Cream (vanilla cupcake filled with Bavarian cream, dipped in rich chocolate ganache and finished with a light drizzle of white chocolate), and Lemon Blueberry (vanilla cupcake made with blueberries and topped with lemon buttercream frosting). But expect that list to grow even longer because they are always surprising us with new flavors!
Wanna Cupcake also uses the rewards program, FiveStars. Each time you spend $5, you get a point. The points add up to rewards ranging from a free cupcake to a percentage off your next purchase. Also, I just learned of a reward you could get if you haven't been getting your cupcake fix from them. I had signed up to receive text alerts from FiveStars and it had been a couple months since I had visited, so they texted me a deal for 50% off my next visit! Wow! Needless to say, I was determined to get over there again! We ended up getting a dozen cupcakes for under $20.
