Gifted Glassblowers

There are some amazing artists out there using glass as their medium. While glassblowing has been for ages, I've just become more familiar with it. At The Museum of Glass they have many pieces on display. Our family went for the first time last night in participation with the Third Thursday Program. It was a great opportunity and the weather was decent! We were able to see several unique works of glass and they even had local glassblowers in action! I think that part was the coolest (and if you're a Hannibal fan, it's kinda creepy)! I plan on going again next month on Third Thursday, but earlier. I also think it would be fun to go early in the morning when there are very little people. Here are some of the pics I took on our visit:

This was a neat one, but the little man inside was facing the other way. :(

This was what you see when you look up from watching the glassblowers in action. Lol, I swear, it reminded me of a recent Hannibal episode that took place partly in a water tower!
This is what the outside of it looks like. Very neat, huh? :)

Don't mind the crazy face. This is apparently the norm with 8 year olds.

Loved this!

I figured it would take forever to get all the letters in my first name so I settled on just this.

All in all, it was a great experience for youngsters and adults. Definitely a must!
